Multi-Use Trails

Deerlake Ranch will incorporate a significant trail system for public recreation. The project will feature approximately 4.3 miles of multi-use trails that meander throughout the community as well as a perimeter loop that connects to the regional trail network in the Santa Susana Mountains. The trails will provide opportunities for walking, exercising, hiking and horseback riding in a natural setting with mountain and valley views. Visit our website frequently for status updates on trail notices and closures. All of the trails in Deerlake will be dedicated to Los Angeles County and will be maintained by Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation.

The trail coming from the Chatsworth Park along Canoga and down to Browns Canyon is CLOSED temporarily during construction.

Please follow the detour along the back side of the park to reach Browns Canyon. Please adhere to directional signs and proceed with caution.

A notice board is located at the end of the Canoga bridal path. Be informed and check the board.

Please check this website to obtain the most recent trail closures under the Notices section.

The Antonovich Trail Dusters Ride took place Sunday, May 15, 2016. The trail route came through the upper portion of Deerlake Ranch with a rest stop area. Hosted and led by Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, in conjunction with the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation and ETI Corral 54. The event was a huge success with 120 riders, the weather was perfect and the trail route was gorgeous.
